DCC in the past year has provided shelter, counselling, medical assistance, formal and informal education to over 80 children from the various states of the Niger Delta region.

The Abi Women Association in Calabar further demonstrated this with their visit to Destiny's Child Center (DCC): a rehabilitation home initiated by the Wife of Cross River State Governor, Mrs. Obioma Liyel-Imoke, for resettlement and reintegration of erstwhile street children in the State.

DCC Charity Fashion Show 2011 took place at the Tinapa Business & Leisure Resort in Calabar. The annual charity event is focused on raising funds for Destiny’s Child Centre, a resettlement home for the rehabilitation and reintegration of erstwhile street children established in 2009 by Mrs. Obioma Liyel-Imoke.
